Chia Seeds

January 5, 2016 Irene Rizzo

These tiny black seeds have turned out to have some major health benefits.

  • high in fiber
  • rich in antioxidants
  • plant based omega 3
  • provide a variety of minerals, including iron and calcium
  • they help manage blood sugar
  • protect the heart
  • boost energy
  • easy to digest

So start sprinkling these seeds in your salads, smoothies, yogurt, cereals anything you can think of and even add them to soups to thicken since they form a gel when added to liquid.

I even sometimes for energy add it to my water.
